I wanna be a helper at this wedding

We attended a wedding of a friend last weekend. And besides the fantastic food, they had done up the void deck really beautifully. The decorations were really nice, the plastic chairs were draped, the centre pieces were pretty, the area was cool and the helpers all wore lovely $30 corsages.

What a novel idea! I also want to be a helper!

My takeaway from it:
1. Don’t bring the kids. They won’t enjoy all the curry and they won’t have much else to eat.
2. Don’t bring the kids. You won’t be able to really enjoy the curry.
3. If the invite says 11am-5pm, the bridal party will probably only get there around 2pm. If you’re planning to say hi to them, don’t go too early or you’ll end up sitting and waiting very long. And eating non-stop.
4. Leave more time to eat non-stop. Don’t plan to eat and run or you won’t be able to really savour everything.
5. Sit next to a box of tissues. This is good for husbands who sweat at the slightest hint of chilli but who also love curry.
